Aluzinc steel is a kind of highly corrosion-resistant material. It is formed with cold-rolled steel and applied with a coating consisting of 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. It is also known as Galvalume steel. Aluzinc-coated steel is more durable and long-lasting than galvanized steel, which is a versatile material for exterior roofing or wall panels, chimney breasts, the substrate of color-coated steel, etc.

Aluzinc coating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon (55% Al-Zn coating). The production process of aluzinc steel sheet and coil is similar to that of galvanized steel, that is, hot-dip continuous coating process.

Its corrosion resistance is 2-5 times better than that of galvanized steel. Besides, it has good heat resistance, which can withstand a high temperature of more than 300 degrees. 1. Use galvanized sheets instead of GL steel under an alkaline environment;
2. The aluzinc roofing sheets should be installed with a certain slope, which is conducive to drainage and avoids corrosion;
3. Avoid direct contact with wet cement and wet wood, lead, copper, and graphite;
4. Try to not cut on the GL sheets on the construction site;
5. It is not recommended to use alcohol solvents to wipe and clean the surface to avoid damage to the coating surface.
1. Stronger Corrosion Resistance

2. Higher Heat Resistance
The thermal reflectivity of Al-Zn coated steel is very high, which is twice that of galvanized sheet. It has good heat resistance, which can withstand a high temperature of more than 300 degrees Celsius. So it is often used in chimney pipes, ovens, lighting, lampshades, etc.
3. Better Adhesion
There is excellent adhesion between the aluzinc sheet and the paint. So it can be painted without pretreatment and weathering.
